  1. This year, the Cowboys have the luxury of two late 1st round draft picks. This gives them some flexibility with their selections. Seeing that their WR corps is rapidly aging with TO and Terry Glenn. The Cowboys see a nice fit with a player who fell to them at #22. With the 22nd pick in the 2008 NFL Draft, the Dallas Cowboys select Limas Sweed, Wide Receiver, Texas. The Pittsburgh Steelers and Drunkbomber are on the clock........
  2. Since some of their other targets have already been selected (Devin Thomas - WR) and with the recent run on CB's, the Eagles pick comes down to OT and S. With the draft being fairly deep for OL picks, the Eagles look to improve on the defensive side of the ball with one of the best players available. With the 19th pick in the 2008 NFL Draft, the Philadelphia Eagles select Kenny Phillips, Safety, from University of Miami (FL). The Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Pixote are now on the clock............. 3. Any updates?
  4. I think it has been over 24 hours since the last pick, so I am going to wait until lunch tomorrow to post mine. Hopefully that will be enough time for DabearsDabomb to get his in.
  5. I think if anyone is there that teams would trade up to get, it would be Ryan or Mendenhall.
  6. Balta, I don't think it necessarily means you are rebuilding immediately. It depends on the team. The Bears have serious question marks at QB as well as other positions. If Ryan is sitting there at 14 and all the top OL and RBs are off the board, then Ryan would have to be considered. Otherwise, look for a team wanting Ryan and trade down.
  7. Looks like Clady to Chicago.
  8. Go with #1. $200 less plus it is 1080p. You can use the savings to buy a Blu-Ray player or sound system.
  9. http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news;_ylt=Au.2...p&type=lgns Just gotta laugh.
  10. I would sign him to Freeney money, but the deal would need to be cap friendly for at least a portion of the deal. The Bears have been pretty creative with their contracts recently. Also, I believe the Bears are still in their playoff window for the next few years. They need to do whatever they can to retain the solid corps of players they have.
  11. Already a couple of interesting picks.
  12. However, when you look at draft picks and certain positions, some are more valuable than others.
  13. The WRs make me sad..
  14. I was kind of shocked to see this today. Normally the "faces" of the franchise don't act like this. Hell, Brady took a pay cut (or at least restructured his deal) for the team. Why would the Bears extend someone with so many years remaining on his contract? There has to be more to this. Maybe he was upset that the team even considered moving him to the outside? I dunno, this just seems sort of odd coming from him.
  15. Sorry guys, comp problems, back up now. With the second pick in the 2008 NFL draft, the St. Louis Rams select Chris Long, Defensive End, from Virginia. Ashkum Bear and the Atlanta Falcons are now on the clock........
  16. If you need me to take another team, I will take Philly. Also, NeoBear asked for the Pats.
  17. In the top picture he almost looks like "Frank the Tank"! LOL. They need to do a skit about him on SNL now. "Fu%4 the playbook, pass the beer bong" Jokes aside, he does need to mature as a person. He is killing opportunities. Just think of how many marketing opps he is losing out on other than beer commercials.
  18. We will be lucky to get into the 2nd round.
  19. If you need me to take a 2nd team, I'll take DAL. I assume this will only be a 1st Round Mock with only 22 days left until the draft. If so, you can remove Cleveland and Indianapolis since they don't have 1st round picks. Also, Balta, it may be easier to fill it in by slot: 1 Miami Dolphins - 2 St. Louis Rams - The Prophet 3 Atlanta Falcons - 4 Oakland Raiders - 5 Kansas City Chiefs - 6 New York Jets - Soxfan1 7 New England Patriots - 8 Baltimore Ravens - MadLithuanian 9 Cincinnati Bengals - 10 New Orleans Saints - 11 Buffalo Bills - Balta1701-A 12 Denver Broncos - 13 Carolina Panthers - 14 Chicago Bears - Hester 3:16 15 Detroit Lions - 16 Arizona Cardinals - 17 Minnesota Vikings - 18 Houston Texans - 19 Philadelphia Eagles - 20 Tampa Bay Buccaneers - 21 Washington Redskins - 22 Dallas Cowboys - 23 Pittsburgh Steelers - 24 Tennessee Titans - 25 Seattle Seahawks - 26 Jacksonville Jaguars - 27 San Diego Chargers - 28 Dallas Cowboys - 29 San Francisco 49ers - 30 Green Bay Packers - 31 New York Giants -
  20. A WR is available: http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news;_ylt=AhcT...p&type=lgns
  21. I have no problem with him partying in the off season, just do it privately.
  22. Was it his rap song from the U?
  23. adam replied to Wesson44's topic in Bearstalk
So OL and RB in the draft then.
  24. How about Brian Williams during his DUI arrest: http://www.news4jax.com/news/15775518/detail.html
  25. adam replied to adam's topic in Bearstalk
I didn't look at it that way. The defender can just let the offensive guy jump up, and the defender can now actually catch him and carry/push him out of bounds.
