Bad start by both sides of the ball. An 80 yard drive by Redskins followed by a quick series by the offense.

I've been seeing everyone spooge all over the idea of Flacco for some time now. And, all of the sudden, this guy is flying up the depth chart at the combine like Matt Jones, going from a 4th to a late first. I can understand if you love the guy and want to draft him, but a late first rounder for someone widely considered a fourth rounder just a month or so ago is absolute lunacy. I'd be much happier passing of Flacco if it meant the Bears got to A) Keep their picks, and Draft non-reach picks with the first two rounds. If Flacco is there in the third, fine, grab him. Since it costs extra to get, I try to post ESPN Insider stuff as much as possible. He has the Bear's taking OT Sam Baker @ #14. Kiper thinks 3 OT's will be gone already by the time the Bears pick. Who would have thought that a Kyle Orton led Bear team with many missing key defensive players would of whooped the first place Green Bay Packers? The Bears got to examine Orton, Wolfe, Williams, McBride, Toeiana and Kennedy. What they learned IMO is that Orton can go into 2008 competing for the #1 spot but most likely claiming the #2. The Bears should sign Grossman and release Griese and spend a first day draft pick on a QB. Running back in 2008 will not see much change as long a Cedric Benson can come back 100% healthy. I think Balta has been a little busy lately, so I'll step into his role. Tough matchup for Jays return. 3 games back in the Division and probably the WC after this week, with 8 to play. We would need a miracle to make the playoffs and this team has shown zero consistency to say they can sustain a run. The crazy part is we have now lost to a 6-2 team (NE), 5-3 team (BUF), 4-3 team (MIA), 5-2 team (GB), and 3-4-1 team (CAR). All actually turned out to be pretty good teams, and our Strength of Schedule is much harder than it originally looked. I would say the only possible way back would be to go 4-1 in remaining Division games (split DET, sweep MIN, beat GB), then beat NO and TB, and lose to DAL, which would be amazing and still only give us a 9-7 records (and …

I'd like to give props to my man Rex. He did a nice job for someone who has barely played since preseason. Screw the haters. Classless Bears fans booing him in the 3rd qtr. You know show the guy some damn support. People are all over Orton's nuts like he's some legend. Yet, every damn time Rex touches the ball he gets booed. I swear Rex can smile and still get booed. I've come to conclusion that Bears fans are the biggest idiots in the NFL.

The Bears open up as 1.5 favorites on the road against the Flacco-led Bengals. The Bengals just lost 39-38 to the lowly Jets, which followed allowing 31, 27, 37, 28, 48, and 27 since Week 2. So no team has scored less than 27 against the Bengals since the Browns in Week 1. So this has to be the breakout game for Williams. Anything less than 27 pts on offense and a solid passing game overall, will be a failure. I am losing faith in the defense that allowed 30 to Huntley, but think the defense rebounds enough for a Bears win 31-20.

Coming soon. Of the current Bears there are three names that I see pop up here and there. Forte, Jeffery and Cutler. Obviously Forte is the most logical (although I personally would hate it) as there are several teams in need of star RB. The article below makes it sound viable especially when you consider Denver and "our" apparent new familiarity of one another. And the way it appears Langford is gaining trust with the staff it makes Matt even more expendable. Haven't heard much about Jeffery as of late but admittedly could see him being dangled, especially if the team loses this weekend. The referees screwed the Bears big time. How do you not see Trueblood punching at one of our players right in front of everyone?! Total B.S!! I won't stand for it. Something needs to be done. We'll find out in a week that that guy gets a fine, and he ends up saving the game for the Bucs because the freakin referees missed the call.

Going by #1 need, I'd say Clady. I'd truly think about McFadden/Mendenhall really hard though.
