Looks like the odds will start at Bears -1.5 but they opened at -2.5, and it may change again with injury news. The Steelers are in the bottom half of the league for offense and defense. With the schedule about to get extremely tough, this becomes another game they need to win. Bears 27-20.

But since the old messageboard closed, has some its members gone little bad with language here? I have read more garbage with cussing in it since the change. Is there any way to put word filters on this format? I know VBulletin has it as well as PHPBB. I admined plenty in my day. The Bears are 5-3 playing at home (2-1), and the Giants are 2-7 (0-5 on the road), yet the Bears are only favored by 3? I fear that the refs will be heavily involved in this game. This shouldn't be a close game. Without Skattebo, the Giants leading rusher was Dart. So I would hope this makes it a little easier for the defense. I am going with Bears 30-17.

I heard on the SCORE that what put in a waiver claim for Tim Wright /TE but TB was higher on the waiver list. We keep searching for TEs, I wonder if they think MB wont be at minicamp next week.

1. Knox played well on ST. 2. Podlesh wasn't great, and Gould missing that cheapy is a tad scary. 3. The OL was brutal, but I liked what I saw out of Spencer. granted it was vs Buffalo's second teamers. If he isn't the starting C by week 1, I'd be shocked (move Garza to OG, bench Louis, Spencer at C). 4. Enderle was decent, Chris Harris had a huge hit, and Adams played a nice game at WR. Draft: The Bears Next 3 Opponents Vikings, Green Bay, New Orleans. We maybe come out 1-2 maybe 0-3, add to the fact that we are in evaluation mode meaning younger players will get more time. Williams is clearly the LT of the future, but after a injury-plagued first year, it makes some sense to have him at RT, learning and watching one of the best in recent years man the left side until he's ready to take over. Sounds like the Bears are making a real push.

I really think this is something the team should consider for next yr. I believe he could be an all pro safety and allow us to cut strings with Mike Brown. The only issue may be his salary as he is being paid as a corner. Thoughts? Peace

Angelo basically said he was pissed about our running game. He said you expect your featured back to break off a couple 20+ yard runs per game, and we didn't do that. He didn't blame the coaches or the o-line, he put it on the running backs. Considering since Angelo has been with the Bears, he's had pretty good luck with FA running backs (Thomas Jones), and pretty bad luck with FA draft picks (Cedric Benson, and probably Garrett Wolfe). Besides everything, he looked fantastic. IIRC, he caught every pass thrown his way. 4 catches for 90 yards + a TD is mighty impressive. Also, he didn't look confused. If he stays healthy, he's going to top 1100 yards and 7 TD's.

Ted Phillips told the Sun-Times that the Bears would be on board with opening their books to the players' union, if that's what it takes to get a CBA done. He basically said they have nothing to hide and would be happy to go along with turning over their financials. They're the second team, after the Broncos, to say they'd do this.
