Going by #1 need, I'd say Clady. I'd truly think about McFadden/Mendenhall really hard though.

I've been watching the videos of Mendenhall on Youtube. Things I like. Good body control and balance. Uses blockers well Has the ability to run it inside and push for yardage. Has good speed and agility in space anticipates well. Has a good attitude a team guy Has good hands as a receiver. He does run with the ball in one hand a lot. even up the middle, he needs to be more carefull about putting two hands on the ball in a crowd. NFL Defenders are more adept at stripping the ball than college defensive players. Some of the holes I saw in the videos you could drive a truck through. I'd like to give props to my man Rex. He did a nice job for someone who has barely played since preseason. Screw the haters. Classless Bears fans booing him in the 3rd qtr. You know show the guy some damn support. People are all over Orton's nuts like he's some legend. Yet, every damn time Rex touches the ball he gets booed. I swear Rex can smile and still get booed. I've come to conclusion that Bears fans are the biggest idiots in the NFL.

Coming soon. Of the current Bears there are three names that I see pop up here and there. Forte, Jeffery and Cutler. Obviously Forte is the most logical (although I personally would hate it) as there are several teams in need of star RB. The referees screwed the Bears big time. How do you not see Trueblood punching at one of our players right in front of everyone?! Total B.S!! I won't stand for it. Something needs to be done. We'll find out in a week that that guy gets a fine, and he ends up saving the game for the Bucs because the freakin referees missed the call.

Here we go, the first playoff game thread since January 2011. We have knocked GB and MIN out of the playoffs, and now get a chance to knock off the champs. Our defense is elite and our offense is balanced and efficient. I feel like we are going to finally unleash the full offense next week for the first time. I think we win handily and the defense creates a few turnovers. I am praying for good officials and no BS calls. Bears 27-13

Winner gets worse draft pick and 3rd place bragging rights, loser takes the NFC North cellar and almost locks in a top 10 pick. I am torn, I really want a win and for us to go on a 7 game run and totally redeem ourselves, but the other half says this season is toast and the only way to get change is to tank even further. If we lose to Minny at home with AP, we need to fire someone within an hour of the game ending.

I can't help my disgust for how this team has treated Mike Hass. He can easily be this teams Wes Welker. Welker has gone through the exact same crap Hass is going through just to get his shot. These guys both have the talent and for some reason from college to the pros they were passed over. Welker finally has the stage to open up eyes and he has done so. Although he still has to fight for the credit. Mike Hass can be that same player. He is exactly the kind of receiver this team needs...Will he ever get his chance?? I hate Mariani more than any Bear player I can remember in a while. He drops punts. When he catches them he has the vision of Ray Charles on returns. And on kickoffs, despite the team not getting any sort of blocking, he returns them when he catches the ball 8-9 yards deep in the end zone. He did it twice now in this Minnesota game. It's time for the Bears to go a different direction. This dude is slow, has iffy hands, has bad vision, makes poor decisions, and did I mention he's slow? Please replace this turd pronto.

I have to believe we made this deal w/ the intention of keeping him long term, which means a new deal. While he is not due to hit FA for two more years, you gotta bet he wants to be paid. Now we can utilize that huge amount of cap space. It will be very curious to see just how big of a deal he gets, and further will be interesting to see the "bears are cheap" response when we give him a deal for likely $30m guaranteed.

If I was JA, this is how I would fix the team: Free agency: 1. Sign either Travelle Wharton or Jordan Gross, whomever Carolina lets go.-this is priority #1. You have to go all out for these guys. Either of them can play LT, so you can move Tait to RT. If that fails, go after Max Starks if Pittsburgh lets him go. If we don't sign a LT, then Otah or Clady has to be the #1 pick. 2. Re-sign Berrian if he comes at a decent price or sign Bryant Johnson. After Berrian we have no talent at WR. If Berrian leaves, what good will upgrading at QB do if nobody can catch the ball? They talk about other positions like SS and TE/FB but this one applied to the Bears better. They did use AA as an example for SS but as you can imagine it wasnt saying he is a good fit for the new types of safeties.
