OK, let's see if we can get a 12 team league set for a free, redraft league. I have set up some initial settings with Yahoo Sports to get things rolling but these settings can obviously be changed if we can get enough members of the forum interested. I think we made a mistake by not resigning Hester. cutting Bennett and signing Hixon was good but we should have cut Weems and kept Hester. We could use him as the 5th WR to make the run plays that Jeffery does to limit Jeffery from getting hurt. .Think about Marshall...Jeffrey. ..Wilson...Hixon....Hester as the top five and Williams as the 6th WR/PR...you have hands...height and speed

Listening to Bill Polian today on ESPN,who knows a thing or two about drafting for a 3-4 scheme he said that he felt the Bears would bring a veteran in on every level of the defense that knows the scheme and will help with the transition. He was spot on and this was before the signing of Foster. This is clearly looking like they are adding depth and competition in the front 7 and still need help in the secondary at corner. Although a few mocks are starting to project Cooper to the Bears and I would love that but, selecting Waynes would be a long term move for the defense. At 7 he may be the BPA that the Bears do need also.

For years and years we have watched the draft and said to ourselves, "WTF is that pick? Why aren't they factoring in need? Who the hell is that and where did he play? Why are they trying to show how cute or smart they are? Just make smart freaking picks!!!" Is this FINALLY the GM who picks how we more or less agree? Browns have difficult decision to make with breakout QB star Anderson I know he has limited experience/success. He did have an excellent 2007. There is squat out there for FA QBs If Rex, Kyle, & Brian can not step forward (time will tell) we need someone to push the bubble. Do you want to rely on a rookie QB, especially if we wait to later rds to draft one while we attend to other positions first (OL, RB, S....)? What would it take to get him????

I've been seeing everyone spooge all over the idea of Flacco for some time now. And, all of the sudden, this guy is flying up the depth chart at the combine like Matt Jones, going from a 4th to a late first. I can understand if you love the guy and want to draft him, but a late first rounder for someone widely considered a fourth rounder just a month or so ago is absolute lunacy. I'd be much happier passing of Flacco if it meant the Bears got to A) Keep their picks, and Draft non-reach picks with the first two rounds. If Flacco is there in the third, fine, grab him. There was the report that Johnson might have a deal with Buffalo and he might be coming to Chicago tomorrow. Has anybody heard any updates on this? I figure we might want Julius Jones, I really haven't heard of any teams interested in him. We have to move on a o-lineman at some point, right??? The last couple of years Angelo hasn't made any moves until early April. Of course I'm still salivating for any any news of guys we might bring in.

My first gut instinct, with the way things are right now (Urlacher, Hester and others with contract disputes...no drafted QB and the improvement of both Detroit and Minnesota) I fear a less than .500 season for 2008-09. Convince me otherwise but I feel 4-12 or 5-11 is in the cards.
