As per multiple sources. One year deal. Considering none of the quarterbacks in the draft are ready to play now--I think this means we'll draft a guy in round 2 or 3 and we have no intention of playing him this year.

Aaron Lemming tweeted that the Bears cut two players and brought up Fales leaving one roster spot open........ Could it mean we may see the 7th overall draft pick of the Bears???? The only way he is playing is if he is 100% and in some type of game shape. Cant really expect a whole lot but maybe he can open up some routes by being a deep threat.

I think we made a mistake by not resigning Hester. cutting Bennett and signing Hixon was good but we should have cut Weems and kept Hester. We could use him as the 5th WR to make the run plays that Jeffery does to limit Jeffery from getting hurt. .Think about Marshall...Jeffrey. ..Wilson...Hixon....Hester as the top five and Williams as the 6th WR/PR...you have hands...height and speed

Listening to Bill Polian today on ESPN,who knows a thing or two about drafting for a 3-4 scheme he said that he felt the Bears would bring a veteran in on every level of the defense that knows the scheme and will help with the transition. He was spot on and this was before the signing of Foster. This is clearly looking like they are adding depth and competition in the front 7 and still need help in the secondary at corner. Although a few mocks are starting to project Cooper to the Bears and I would love that but, selecting Waynes would be a long term move for the defense. At 7 he may be the BPA that the Bears do need also.

For years and years we have watched the draft and said to ourselves, "WTF is that pick? Why aren't they factoring in need? Who the hell is that and where did he play? Why are they trying to show how cute or smart they are? Just make smart freaking picks!!!" Is this FINALLY the GM who picks how we more or less agree? After taking day to catch up on some games and performances around the league I have a sense where the Bears fit in. I see all the angst about our loss, mine included, but I don't think a single new Head Coach won their first game including the one who has won a Superbowl, John Gruden. All these teams are in different states of repair but among this group we didn't fare so poorly. There is a learning curve for all new HCs and their teams. Trade every player not on a rookie deal outside of ARob. I would put Turdbisky on IR and would even consider firing Nagy. Let Pagano take over and bring Vic back as DC.

The saints just cut pro bowl guard Larry Warford. He was making 7 mil a year. IFEDI is here on a 1 yr deal so he definitely an upgrade. Let IFEDI battle for RG or you can have him be the swing OT. You probably get Larry for 1 yr 4 mil? I also read the bears are talking to him.

This news is a few weeks old, but it looks like most teams will start training camp on July 28th (in 2 weeks). Crazy I know. Also, it looks like teams will not bring in 90 players due to COVID-19 and because they won't have time to properly evaluate all of them and get the roster cut down in time. The consensus is that the NFL won't play any preseason games even though two are currently scheduled for late August. I would assume there is going to be a lot more soft tissue injuries this year if they don't have any physical contact build up. However, if that reduces the number of COVID cases, then that is the best move. So what do you think…

Bears look to go 2-0 in their last two weeks. This will likely be Nagy's last home game. I am assuming the Giants will be sending out our friend Mike Glennon. If that is the case, Quinn will have team record for sacks within the first two drives. If you thought the Bears team was bad, the Giants are worse. They only have 1 win on the road and have lost their last 4 and 5 out of the last 6. They have failed to score 14 pts in 5 of their last 6. I have a feeling this will be the Bears biggest win of the season, 31-13.
