I'm not nearly as optimistic as Jeremy Stoltz is regarding our running game. I'd love for him to be right and I do agree that the pieces we have on offense are not that bad. We know we can't protect the edge of the pocket on med-to-deep passes and Cutler will never be a good quick-release short-route QB so if running up the middle works have at it. If running anywhere works keep going there. http://www.scout.com/nfl/bears/story/15601...d-for-a-rebound

  2. Rapaport is reporting that the Bears are interested in Mike Glennon. Probably won't be popular, but I have zero problem with this. You can still draft a QB in the 3-5 range(I'm falling for Peterman personally) and groom him a couple years. If Glennon grasps his potential then you can possibly put yourself in the position to trade him assuming your mid round draft pick pans out. Continue to build a young strong defense early in the draft. I want Adams and Conley in the 1st 2 rounds.

  3. As per the trib http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/footb...0,2279764.story Is that an eye-popping number to anyone else? The 2nd round was only 2.5 million, but the first rounder was 18 million. Hell, lets trade our first rounder every year and spend that coin on a proven veteran. Seriously.

from cnnsi.com Cowboys, Bears scouting Simms For 20 minutes, he was a football player again. Not a rehab case. Not a disgruntled employee. Not a trading chip. Chris Simms had an entire field in front of him and was anxious to put the past behind. As auditions go, this was a keeper. Simms was effective by most standards, and pretty darned impressive when you consider it was his first extensive playing time in nearly two years. He completed 8 of 10 passes for 60 yards and a 91.7 QB rating on his three possessions, and he drove the Bucs to one touchdown and one missed field goal. For Simms, the results are probably incidental. If he continues to play well, maybe anot…

Due to the fact that my Bears season ticket $ and the ton of $ I owe for taxes this year are due at about the same time, I am going to be unable to afford my Bears tickets. That being said I don't really want to lose them. So, I would like to sell them for this year. I have 3 tickets. The grand total is $2,048 for 3 tickets to 10 games (2 preseason games). I usually sell the preseason games and never have a problem unloading them. Email me @ jesse2033@gmail.com for further information including seat location and payment details. I would rather sell them to somebody on here who would enjoy them as opposed to someone who is just going to scalp them.

I hope Stevenson can improve, he seems a little off compared to how he finished the season last year. Otherwise, look at how the All-Pro CBs and Safeties from last year are performing compared to our guys: Johnson - 78.8 / 78.4 Cov (Is there any doubt who the best CB is out of this group?) Sauce 66.9 / 69.4 Cov (AP1) - Sauce is not elite. Horn 65.2 / 64.1 Cov (NFL1) - Overrated, never should've won this over JJ last year. Surtain - 59.7 / 56.5 Cov - People always put him in the top tier of CBs, why? Bland (IR) Byard 74.3 / 68.6 (The vet is leading the way) Brisker 67.2 / 65.5 Cov (Mr. Consistent and improving) H…

With 3 OTs gone, DT, Edge, or CB would've felt better for me. I hope Loveland proves me wrong, but I am not a fan.

Bears could look to trade a linebacker Apr 23 4/23/2010 12:45:09 PM | More There is a feeling in the locker room that the Bears could consider trading one of their linebackers to recoup a draft pick according to Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune. What a veteran linebacker would bring in return isn't clear right now. The Bears have seven veteran linebackers and that could be one or two too many after Pisa Tinoisamoa re-signed to compete for the starting job on the strong side. Nick Roach, a restricted free agent who signed a tender for $1.684 million, and veteran Hunter Hillenmeyer, who is due to earn $1.7 million this season, could also be shopp…

  20. As per Mike Florio via the Sporting News: www.sportingnews.com/nfl/article/2010-04-02/five-moves-should-be-made-before-nfl-draft All I can say is, damn I miss having a first round pick. This will be the 2nd consecutive year we haven't drafted before the 3rd round. I have no regrets about the Cutler deal, but it's time to start stock-piling picks again. (And as I type that I'm hoping we give up a pick for Sims)
