With only a few days until the draft are you getting excited or do you have anxiety? All the conjecture and BS stops on draft night. Are the anti-Williams folks resigned to the choice or still hoping for a last minute surprise? Is your focus more on the second pick at this point? I’m hoping for an Offensive Tackle myself More importantly, how are you feeling about the season? Things should be much improved but we’ll have a rookie QB. There are obvious exceptions but usually that’s a tough first year. Lastly, are there any FA’s left that you’d add depending on what happens in the draft?

Just thinking out loud here, but Harris missed two games this year. He missed one game when the staff benched him, and another yesterday after his bone headed move. The two games Harris missed happened to also be our two most humiliating losses of the season. Now, when I have watched, I have seen VERY little from Harris. At the same time, I do have to step back and ask. Is his presence more important to this defense than we want to admit?

Denver just waived him today. Still has to go through waivers. I don't think it matters at this point because the Bears are content with starting Caleb Haine but he would be a great addition as his backup.

The Bears were favorites for this game a few weeks ago, now 1 point underdogs. Arizona just beat Miami, Harrison Jr, McBride, and Conner all had huge games. This is looking like a pretty complete offense and the defense got a safety against MIA, and they only won by 1. At this point, it really is going to come down to which Bears team shows up. If it is the one that won 3 straight, the Bears should win this game handily. If it is the team that just played Washington, it is going to be tough because ARZ has some playmakers on offense. So here we go, game two of the early season and our team is 2-0 for prime time (not wins, just appearances). The first game at home in front of a friendly crowd with all our new toys. I did a little digging and started compiling some stats on JA's draft picks and came up with some pretty telling numbers. 83 total picks out 10 drafts. 12 of the picks considered reaches at the time they were selected with a consensus of scouts and fans. 15% 13 of the picks had an injury history or character issues when the Bears selected them. 17% 58 of the 83 picks are no longer with the team. 70% That is the most telling stat that points to poor drafting. With 3 on IR and 1 on the PS,that leaves 21 of JA's 83 picks currently still with the team. 25% I'm a lot more disturbed after looking at all of these numbers and realize why this …
