Seems like no matter what topic I read here, I read something about cutting Marty Booker? I just don't get it. The guy set almost every receiving record in Chicago Bears history in the time he was here. He's back now. No, he didn't light up the league while he was in Miami. He did probably match about what any receiver had did here though during that time with comparable QB''n. If the Bears were going to cut underachieving veterans based on preseason games, then basically the whole famed Bears defense would be cut. So if all things were equal, and you could choose one player at #14, who is it and why? Which Offensive Lineman fits the Bears the best? Would RB or WR be the best choice? Who is the best available at #14? I understand that ALL of them would not be available at #14, but more than likely a combination of them will be.

I find it very interesting that this ENTIRE board is mum on Kyles performance yesterday. I find it admirable that he played, dont get me wrong, but his lack of mobilty restricted play action calls and roll outs. If he couldnt play at an highlevel and he knew they would have to restrict the playbook due to his injury, he should not have played. We can debate all we want about the coaches and defense, but he was simply bad yesterday. He locked on receivers, he missed open guys downfield, he threw into coverage, he had 3 ball batted down at the LOS. He produced the fewest points, yards and first downs of any Bears game this year. I have followed the draft long before social media but, this year is completely different. Every Blog I have clicked on several so called Bear fans are saying trade Fields and draft Bryce Young. First of all this QB would be like Tua in game 1 and why are these fans not thinking, we have a qb on a rookie deal, lets build the team and see who our QB is! Hear me out on this. Let's say Barber and Bell continue to shine and Taylor does a reversal...and Forte will not come to an agreement with the team. Do we consider trading Forte if we can get the right offer (I would say a 1st round pick)? I love Forte and would hate to see him leave but running backs are a dime a dozen. This started out as a reply to another post but I thought it'd be better as a topic of it's own. An earlier post was right that there's no shortage of negativity from fans about the Bears' problem positions. I can undertand why of course, but let's go on record with where we think the solutions were. I don't personally remember any real obvious QB or OL solutions this offseason, but I don't follow other teams' players much anyway so that doesn't mean much. Houston, Mundy, and Senn? 1 starter and massive needs at Safety, CB, and DL. I know it is only Day 1 but we didnt get Ward or Mitchell, and will probably lose Melton, Tillman, and McCown. At this point we are taking another step back on defense if we dont add an impact FA. That scares me.
