Fontel Mines, TE CHI News: The Bears announced Sunday which players they signed for their practice squad. The players are as follows: DE Ervin Baldwin, LB Joey LaRocque and TE Fontel Mines. Analysis: The Bears still have three open practice spots. These players will not see the field on Sundays during the regular season and should be avoided in Fantasy.

LT2_3, can you help us out, we have had conflicting reports, and some disagreements on the forum, about how much cap space the Bears currently have. One report on the net had us with a little over 9 Million under the cap. another had us at about 1 Million under the cap. What is your expert opinion on this point of discussion?

Anyone figure out who our starting WR are? I haven't really seen this listed anywhere and the Bears website still shows 4 guys as co-starters.

Wide receiver Rideau does not make the cut By Brad Biggson August 30, 2008 2:49 PM | Permalink | Comments (0) | TrackBacks (0) Wide receiver Brandon Rideau, who led the Bears and the entire league with three touchdown catches in preseason, has been informed he will be placed on waivers. It's an indication the Bears will go with six wide receivers and that veterans Marty Booker and Mark Bradley are most likely safe. There's been no announcement on their status, but Bradley is a former second-round pick and coaches indicated Booker was safe even though he was difficult to find on the field in preseason. On a clear afternoon during training camp in early August, Howard Mudd talked of storm clouds and the need to prepare for them. Well, stormy times are here for Mudd's injury-depleted offensive line. And it's especially ominous considering the group is charged with protecting quarterback Peyton Manning, who's dealing with injury problems of his own. Manning is expected to start Sept. 7 when the Indianapolis Colts open against the Chicago Bears, but he might need a bit of time to regain full mobility after knee surgery kept him out of all the preseason games. And the composition of the group in front of him is anyone's guess. Ligament damage to his right k…

Some uncertainty remains on the offensive line with seventh-round pick Kirk Barton in line for a job but in position to possibly be impacted by Fred Miller. The veteran is out of town at a family wedding this weekend and continues to mull his options, likely with the hope the Bears will move up from their offer of a minimum-salary benefit deal at $830,000. Guard Chester Adams, the seventh-round pick from Georgia, got good news when he learned he suffered only a sprained left medial collateral ligament at Cleveland.

that really surprised me, I thought he still had get up and go. His worth to Houston was minimal and they let him go, Thought everyone needed a pass rusher. well goes to show his better days are behind him.
