PFT is talking about Miami's QB situation. W/ Pennington added, and you have to believe Henne is a lock, that will leave one spot for two other QBs, McCown and Beck. McCown was signed in the offseason, and got some bonus money too. Beck was a 2nd round pick in 2007. One is likely to go. They make some points why Beck could be on the block, or cut. A lot of picks to like, obviously Smith is a great pick, but for some reason the Miller pick is sticking with me. The more I read about the kid, I am sold and think he will turn out to be a long-time starter for the franchise.

After two straight losses, this is a must win if we want to have any chance at making the playoffs. If we can't beat the Jets at Soldier Field, we do not deserve to sniff the playoffs. Trubisky listed on injury report with a right shoulder injury. Hopefully he is okay / injury is minor. Evidently it happened after the late hit near the end of the game. He joins Lynch and Shaheen on the injury report as the two of them are both in concussion protocol. Given the short week, I presume there is a good chance Shaheen/Lynch are out this week. Hopefully everything is good with Mitch!

I listen to a ton of bears podcasts and read almost every article written on them , I'm bored, and so many of these bears people place CB as one of their important needs. A lot of them are mocking a CB either as the first or second pick. My logic tells me that the bears are going all in on winning this year. As I look at needs, I have to look at who is already on the team. Tolliver, Burns, Robinson Xavier Crawford, Denmark, Fuller, Joseph, McManis, Skine, and Shelly. Ever since Jimmy Johnson leaked the name Marc Trestman, I've been watching every highlight I could from his time in Canada. And I'm sure of the following statement: The majority of this board will be upset. Why? To make this offense work, either he'll have draft a ton of OL OR He's going to have a very unbalanced, semi-productive offense that relies on a lot of deep drops, has minimal rushing, and will get the QB drilled Judging from history, either scenario is going to make most of this board unhappy.

I got a notice to sign up for the TalkBears2 FF League I participated in last year but noticed it was set up for Auto-Draft. If it is going to be an Auto-Draft, I am not interested. Can anyone confirm that it is indeed changed to Auto-Draft this year? Last year I did not realize until a few minutes before the draft started that players did not get a point per reception, which I prefer, but went ahead and played. My fault, should have been more attentive to the rules. I just want to make sure I do not sign up for an Auto-Draft league as I think they really suck.

It could be just me, but it sure seems like Cutler has been throwing an inordinate amount of interceptions thus far during the offseason, albeit in training camp. The bulk of them coming from the 1st play of practice! I don't know what to make of it. Should we be worried that he's not adjusting to the system very well? Or is this just something you can sweep under the rug because it's meaningless, and QB's like to test their limits during practices? The defense has clearly been light years ahead of the offense so far in camp, but I'm curious to see if the offense will ever come around before the start of the season. I think we discussed the "dark horse" contenders earlier in the season and I don't want to necessarily tip my hat to *unnamed poster*, but I believe he picked Frey (at least I think it was him) to be that candidate. So far, Frey has been pretty impressive. I see a 'Corey Graham' type of player in the making and there almost is no doubt he (Frey) is the current starting Nickel back. IMHO, he is defintitely the better option over Hayden. From what I've seen when he's playing, he's been around the ball in almost each instance. Anyway, per Biggs Iowa TE CJ Fiedorowicz said first team he met with at Senior Bowl was #Bears I'm somewhat intrigued by them even talking to a potential "impact" TE. By impact I mean a player who will contribute. Right now C.J. is slotted in the 3-4 round range, which if the Bears fix a good deal of their defensive problems in FA and then grab another couple defensive guys to start the draft I'd love to see them grab another big TE.
