Are you a diehard Chicago Bears fan? If so, you've found the spot to discuss all things Chicago Bears. Discuss the Monster of the Midway right here as the Bears look to get back on track in 2024 and take the North and never give it back! Flaming is not allowed and all such posts will be deleted. Try to keep it clean and most importantly BEAR DOWN! #BEARS #CHICAGOBEARS #BEARDOWN

  1. A lot of this could be just me sipping the kool-aid, but for awhile now I've been thinking that this D they put together COULD be pretty good if all it's parts play to their potential. DL Ray McDonald- I think the off the field stuff is really blinding people on just how good McDonald is. Here's a guy who in Fangios very successful time in SF played the 3rd most snaps, so he was obviously a key part to a very good defense. Rotoword said he was one of the best 3-4 DEs in the league last year. Eddie Goldman- They got a guy to take on doubles which will help on every level. The run defense will be really good on the first level. 2nd DE?- We have a plethora …

Fantatstic news. I can't be happier about the Bears finally getting someone signed. He's had injury concerns but should be a nice guy to have around to ensure that the Bears are able to ease Forte into his career. He is obviously returning very quickly from an ACL injury so I think our expectations should be to hope he is able to play in one preseason game and can work his way up to being a 10-15 carry a guy for the Bears by about the 3rd week of the season (which is just perfect cause that should help shelter Forte enough to prevent him from hitting some sort of rookie wall by week 12).

  3. The most obvious pick is Chris Williams because he is basically guaranteed a starting position at left tackle unless he's injured or something. This is a good way to start building up a young offensive line, and you can't have enough good offensive lineman, everybody knows that. Depending on what they do with Benson, Forte will be an impact player for the Bears this season. Now I remember watching him play a little bit last year and I remember he had over a 300 yard game with like 4 or 5 touchdowns. I don't know much about his gamebreaking speed but he looks to me like a better version of Thomas Jones. He will push Cedric for a starting spot come training camp and I …

Just for fun... Looking at our roster now, what do you see as needs to improve our roster? Offense to obtain: the heir to Forte and groom a speed reciever and heir to Hester on returns a bookend TE to go along with Bennett a C Defense to obtain: a corner or two DL Retain/extend: Cutler, Melton, Tillman, Wooten, Jennings, Marshall etc... Not sure if we can keep Peppers

  5. This franchise is unbelievable. George is a complete imbecile that couldn't run a fast food chain. They could have just run a replay of the 2015 presser. Even that was less stupid than what I heard today. Every bit of goodwill and hope is just pie in the sky. This franchise will NEVER amount to anything as long as this family owns them.

  7. http://bearswire.usatoday.com/2017/03/02/p...-his-shoulders/ This may or not affect Allen, but this will be a major concern at pick #3 come draft day. I think he drops down some but some team will still make him a top 10 pick, just not the Bears imo.

http://www.theredzone.org/BlogDescription/...go/Default.aspx Westbrook would love to play in Chicago Feb 26 2/26/2010 2:53:32 PM | More ESPNChicago.com reports former Philadelphia Eagles running back Brian Westbrook said Friday he would love to play for the Chicago Bears, and he's not concerned about potential concussion issues. "I would love to play in Chicago; I would love to play anywhere," Westbrook said on "The Waddle & Silvy Show on ESPN 1000. "They have a pretty good quarterback there [in Jay Cutler]; great defense. "There's no question that I would love to definitely play in Chicago." And Westbrook wasn't deterred by th…

From PFT, Vernon Davis expects to "destroy" Bears defensive front Posted by Gregg Rosenthal on November 10, 2009 9:13 PM ET Like a lot of folks that have watched the Chicago Bears play football in recent weeks, 49ers tight end Vernon Davis is not impressed with what he sees. Unlike most of those folks, Davis has to play football against the Bears Thursday. And you can be sure they will remember his words from this week. "I think we can destroy their front,'' Davis said. "The guys up front, I think we can destroy them. I don't see anything spectacular about their front line." The Bears are 23rd in sacks and 22nd in points allowed on defense. Whil…

I read a posters comments on a player, and it got me wonder. What do you all think is more important in this draft, for the bears. Often player, particularly after the 1st, who have the highest value may also come w/ a lower floor, or a great bust potential. Esentially, you have the chance to get a guy who could have been a 1st round pick, and could be a pro bowl player (or maybe just very good) but comes w/ some flags, whether it be character, injury history/potential, tweaner, position change, etc. So the question I have is, are we better off going after the player w/ a lower ceiling, but higher floor, or the player w/ the higher ceiling yet lower floor? …

Ok, we are about to start the real offseason and based on the latest moves, here are my updated game predictions: 1: vs 49ers (WIN, the Bears almost beat them with Nagy's offense, Fields will beat Lance) 2: at GB SNF (LOSS, this will be a close game but GB is still better) 3: Texans (WIN, a terrible roster, this will be an easy win) 4: at NYG (WIN, Daniel Jones is still the QB, a 3-1 start is possible) 5: at Vikings (LOSS, I have Bears splitting, could be a win here and loss later) 6: Commanders TNF (WIN, Chase Young tore his ACL and was their best player, I doubt he plays or if he does, won't be his old self) 7: at Patriots MNF (LOSS, this one …

It appears nobody wants TO. Nobody attended his workout (where he looked like a beast despite recovering from a huge injury in very minimal time). He is still, even at his age and even with recent injuries, probably better than any WR on the roster. What is the downside to signing him to a low-base, incentive-filled contract? Seems like a win-win to me. The guy wants to play, is still in incredible shape, could potentially teach the Bears' WRs a thing or two about numerous things (working out, running routes, etc.), and would be playing as an audition to continue his career in the NFL. If he starts shit, cut him. If he doesn't produce (measured up against oth…

  17. I've restarted the FFL2 from last year. If you were in the league last year, please register. That way we will know how many slots we have to fill for the season. Also, we can change it to a keeper league if people are interested, and the draft time can be changed if the date selected doesn't work for a bunch of people.

    1. Landon Collins, SS, Bama - Immediate starter and difference maker. 2. Derron Smith, FS, Fresno St. - Best FS in the draft. Great instincts. Good angles. Awesome hands. Predicts passes and jumps routes. . 3. Hroniss Grasu, OC, Oregon - Get Garza's replacement the day before yesterday. Dude has a great motor and mobility. I think he slips to the 3rd. 4. Deshazor Everett, CB, TX A&M - He already has a history of crushing Green Bay players. 5. Jake Ryan, MLB, Michigan - Tackling machine, stud, reminds me of Chris Borland (I was a big fan, but not for the Bears' cover-2). Move Bostic outside. 6. Henry Anderson, DE, Stanford - Big boy. Brings a …

The draft is over and the Bears did not address QB until afterwards with Hanie and Hill. Let's discuss what they should do now. My thoughts: - Rex and Kyle are going to battle it out for starter. Whomever wins out gets extended if they succeed. - Wait for FA Qbs to hit the market from teams like Tampa (Simms, McCown, and Gradkowski may all be released) and bring in a 3rd stringer. - Put Hill and Hanie both on the practice squad. We have 8 spots and 1 to 2 should be devoted to QB going forward. Going forward, the Bears should bring in an asst QB coach (we have an asst DB coach, why not one for our most important position). Finally, the Bears o…
