Listening to ESPN Radio today, and McShay was on and talking QBs. He was asked if the bears would consider a QB at 14. He then talked about how it has been rumored for a while that a team in the teens was considering Henne. He went on to talk about how he separately knew that Chicago is in fact very high on Henne. Said they/we love his size and arm strength. Also mentioned our liking Flacco. He is not predicting Chicago will take Henne at 14, but he and Kiper are both talking about how they keep hearing about a team in the teens who is looking at QB that few realize. 7.5 dogs seems a little high, but understandable. The Browns beat a terrible Texans team by 10 at home. However, it will be like a home game if Fields starts. Fields will finally get a week of practice with the 1s and hopefully build off his play from Sunday. This is an interesting matchup. Cleveland lost to KC and beat HOU. Just like the Bears lost to LAR and beat CIN. I feel like CLE is better than CIN but HOU, with Tyrod Taylor and Davis Mills at QB put up 21 pts and had the Texans within 3 pts with 8 mins to go. What if DT LEONARD WILLIAMS falls to the Bears at 7? I did two mocks and it happened twice. I also had this happen on fanspeak. Assume there are no partners for a trade down. They have to draft Williams, right? If so, that certainly would be a curveball to the draft plans. What would the rest of the draft have to be to alter the unexpected?

Last week, Jerry Angelo promised that the coming offseason would bring greater dedication to offensive talent and a close examination of the offensive game philosophy the Bears have displayed under this current regime and the previous 60+ years. Face it, Ron Turner ain't leavin'. But I can handle him sticking around if he can change his offensive scheme to be more aggressive and Lovie's "Get off the bus running" attitude has to bend more as well. First two jersey's I have ever gotten. the Orange one is sewn and the other one is not. Next one in line I am thinking about getting is a Charles Tillman one. The Sun-Times reports that the Bears have agreed to terms with former St. Louis linebacker Pisa Tinoisamoa. Looks like Jerry got it done again: this offseason has been pretty great.

Take it for what it is worth. Clearly the Bears and Ballard are interested. I think the Bears are lined up to meet with Ballard on Wednesday and are meeting with some other GM candidates today / tomorrow. My guess is by Friday Bears will introduce their new GM, if not sooner.

The Sun-Times just posted some other notes from Bears OTAs. In the secondary, Woodny Turenne apparently looked good (you can see him doing drills in the rookie minicamp video, he's wearing #47) and Zack Bowman is back at corner. Apparently the move to FS was just a depth thing, like Idonije playing tackle since Harris and Harrison are out.
