  1. Shines: Dusty coninues to get stronger the more he plays. Hester mkes up for the trip up on the three yrd line at Indy. Slumps: Forte doesn't ge 100 today. But KJ helps pick up the slack.
  2. Hey, Defensive Player of the Week. I think he can handle it. And I like a little bit of attitude, finally.
  3. Damn! There goes he outh movement on the OL.

Come on Pix, admit it. You're bummed that you picked 12 and still came in second! Hey, I'm happy not to be the last anymore. We'll see what happens as things progress. And yeah, congrats BearFan2000!
  5. Yeah, and after only one game of the season. Boy, those preseason pundits stink. Minny looked pathetic and you know we will be reved when we play the Puckers.
  6. Well said Bears4ever. When I see that our QB has thrown more than 30 passes it had to be a loss. Give me a game where we run 200 yrds and pass 20 times and control the clock. Means that the other team is in the hole and our D can T-off on 'em.
  7. I agree, but also props to the Oline and Forte. Team effort in that win.
  8. Traditionalist, Blue on White. Boring, I know, but I prefer the dark home jersey to the white.
  9. I always pour on the salt prior to tasting CrackerDog, Doc's orders! But I will say that I was 'concerned' going into the Indy game. Now i feel a little better.
  10. Agree also. One game does not bump you to greatness. I did like the D being more agressive though. And Turner did get Kyle to direct the time superbly. Hey, I was scared going in, though I did pick us to win. There were so many uncertinties--Oline, D, RB, etc., but this game gave me a good supply of Kool Aide for a bit!
  11. I don't know, just wish I could gt a good shot of Kool Aide. Our Oline scares me, though reports are that Indy's Ol is also a question. If the D shows up we have a chance. I'll be watching, and trying to find some Bears' brand Kool Aide.
  12. Agree Grizz. The new Trib site sux.
  13. Agree DBDB, and I hope we are all wrong here about Babich, but the proof is in the pudding, and Babich's pudding really sux to this point.
  14. Sure, it's what got Lovie to this point. But you also have to know when to"tweak" a system that most QBs are picking apart. How about some blitzes? How about gettting up on the receivers at the LOS? It is frustrating to see Tillman and Vasher line up 5-10 yrds off the WR and then he catches a quick pass.Where is the agressiveness on D? This seems to be a "we'll let you have a FG but more than that, we'll challenge you in the red zone." And no, I'm not saying go to a 3-4 scheme. Just adjust to situations and take it to the O, don't just react--dictate. Buddy Ryan must be LHAO.
  15. The Sun Times lists the injury report: Injury report By Brad Biggson September 3, 2008 4:18 PM | Permalink | Comments (0) | TrackBacks (0) The first injury report of the season has been released. We'll try to update them daily on here as they are released, typically around 3 p.m. A look at the Bears: Wednesday, Sept. 3 DT Tommie Harris, left knee. Harris participated partially in practice and is expected to be able to start Sunday. DE Mark Anderson, right thumb. Anderson participated partially in practice and is expected to play Sunday. FS Mike Brown, knee. Brown participated fully in practice and is expected to start Sunday. LS Pat Mannelly, neck. Mannelly participated fully in practice and is expected to play Sunday. G Terrence Metcalf, right knee. Metcalf participated fully in practice for the first time since undergoing arthroscopic surgery more than a month ago. DB Brandon McGowan, knee. McGowan participated fully in practice and is expected to play Sunday. DT Dusty Dvoracek, right calf. Dvoracek participated fully in practice and is expected to play Sunday. TE Desmond Clark, right knee. Clark participated fully in practice and is expected to start Sunday. So they all are expected to be rady to go on Sunday. We are gonna need all those guys to have a shot this season.
  16. It is the damn Cover-2 (lay off and let the QB pick you apart) system. Without a healthy Harris to get the big push and pressure on the QB this soft system isn't gonna work.
  17. No problem with that. When I read the article this afternoon there was no post that mentioned the trade. Then I posted and my post did not appear until the previous one did. So I gotta ask, what happened?
  18. From Chicago Trib: Bears add offensive line help Vaughn McClure, 3:52 p.m. The Bears added some offensive line help Tuesday, trading a undisclosed 2009 draft pick to Tampa Bay for former Buccaneer starting guard Dan Buenning. To make room on the roster for Buenning, the Bears released fifth-round draft pick Zackary Bowman, a cornerback from Nebraska. Buenning (6-4, 320) started all 16 games at left guard for Tampa Bay in 2005 and he started seven of nine games in 2006 before being placed on the injured reserve with a knee injury. He was inactive for every game last season. Buenning was drafted in the fourth round out of Wisconsin in 2005. His hometown is Green Bay.
  19. Same ole, same ole, uh Pix? Seems almost like when pigs fly will JA get some serviceable youth for the Oline.
  20. Hold on a sec, Connorbear. I too am glad he's on the PS, but I hope he stays there and the WRs on the 53 man roster do more than enough to keep him there. Maybe he should get some pointers from Hass on how to weather the season.
  21. Agree with you Connorbear. Hanie has shown enough that he can be the no. 3 guy this year. And Rex has shown enough positive play to be the backup. Right now, the QB position is not of great concern to me. The Oline, though is. If we are going to get anyone off waivers, it should be Oline help.
  22. Glad to see Hanie made it. Now it will be interesting to see what they do about picking up some help on the Oline. And Bradley better stay healthy and contribute.
  23. kffl.com reports that Hanie will be on the 53 man roster. Glad to see it. Now, what about the Oline?
  24. Per Sun Times. So who is left? And will we pick up an Olineman off waivers?
