Not really any threads here to just address the draft over all, so here we are. Been watching a lot of edge tape and different football guys opinions on DE players. Dallas Turner is rightfully the top prospect by most people.. He has such great upside. Latu has a higher floor to contribute right away but Turner is long term . Latu also some medical concerns. I liked Jared Verse but after watching tape and opinions, he doesn't have the bend or flexibility to be a 10+ sack man regularly. To give credit AZ54 already mentioned that. 2 hours until we should start getting alerts from the usual suspects on social media. Last year Swift's deal was announced exactly at 11am. So I assume the Bears first deal will come in that initial madness. With 2x larger deals handed out to Thuney and Jackson already, they may go for a lesser Center upgrade than Dalman. From a money allocation standpoint, I think they may go Edge and DT with the last "bigger" deal. Then address the other positions of need in the 2nd wave.

With 3 OTs gone, DT, Edge, or CB would've felt better for me. I hope Loveland proves me wrong, but I am not a fan.

There are few decent options this upcoming offseason, but the Bears will have to figure out who they want to pay. At this point the Bears need to get younger. By replacing ARob they can improve and get younger at the same time. Here are a few names that could come in and be potential WR1s if the Bears look to FA for that. Fishburn and Durkin in the athletic had some interesting ideas. They say to sign Keenum, 1 yr 5 mil Golden, 1 yr 6 mil Trade the 4th pick to ravens for Hayden Hurst (the idea that he is 3rd string in Baltimore). Was a first round pick and has big upside at 3 mil. I understand that he is our only WR, but is he worth a huge chunk of money? How many times did he drop a pass or give up on a route or make the wrong hot read on a blitz? SF at 5-7 is favored by 3.5 pts at home. They are playing after a SUN Night game in the snow in BUF, while the Bears are coming off their mini bye at Thanksgiving. SF has lost 3 straight and have been outscored 73-20 in their last two games. McCaffrey looks to be out for the year, so it will be interesting to see how they respond.
