Observations from tonight
- 1st string defense was embarassing. You don't let a crappy team like KC drive the ball down your throat. - Forte looked good. I think we will be happy with him. - Both Orton and Grossman just looked ok. I hope someone stands out next week. - Special team penalties killed us. - Wolfe re-enforced my belief he can be a very good 3rd down back. - Hanie locked up the 3rd string QB role in my opinion. I really liked his poise. - The offensive line actually did ok. I pray they do not bring back Fred Miller. I would rather have St Clair at LT. - Bennett should not be returning kickoffs or punts. Toub must be on crack. I will have more thoughts later. Peace

The Wolfe taking it seriously this yr
I don't care what his agent says, he hasn't been signed yet and I question whether he is healthy or not. Peace

Williams undergoes back surgery
What conspiracy? We intentionally drafted an injured player? Clarify please. Peace

Williams undergoes back surgery
This is the point. He never missed a practice or game in college. We would not have drafted him unless he was cleared by the medical staff. I cannot believe how awful our luck is. UGH!!!!! Peace

Pennington Released
Pass - he does nothing for us now. Peace

Why did we let go of Gage again??
Engram was very productive here. Wade and Gage sucked. Peace

Hass versus Booker versus Bradley
No issues. We are all good. Peace

Hass versus Booker versus Bradley
At some point, you need to get thicker skin. You asked the following question: I know it's easier to cut Hass over Booker but which player would really make the team better? If Hass performs better in preseason is it worth it to have Booker's leadership in the locker room? My response would be even if Haas has a better preseason than Booker, you keep Booker. Booker is a proven veteran receiver who is a leader in the locker room. Unless he looks like crap, he makes this team. The choice to me is between Bradley and Haas. Whomever wins the preseason battle, gets the roster spot. Peace

2005 Draft Grade
In a heartbeat. Peace

Hass versus Booker versus Bradley
If you want Haas over Booker be my guest. Haas has never played an NFL down. Booker is a successful vet receiver who has shown he knows how to produce. I'll take Marty. Peace

Williams has missed....
12 days, 14 practices. I think St Clair is getting very close to being our starting LT. I am very, very worried. Peace
-
It's official: Orton to start vs Chiefs
There are only 3 QBs on the roster. I do not see Hanie playing more than a quarter. They need to have both QBs get reps with both the 1st & 2nd string. Peace

The most awesomest awesome thing, ever!
Good to hear you are doing well. Take care of yourself. Peace

Hass versus Booker versus Bradley
There is no doubt in my mind - Marty Booker has to make this roster. He is your only true veteran receiver and will be the locker room leader of the receiving corps. Really, the choice for me would come down to Bradley and Haas. Bradley has been injured multiple times as a Bear and has shown us only glimpses of his talent over 3 yrs. Remember, last yr he hardly saw the field. I say whomever wins out in preseason gets the roster spot. Peace

Welcome back!!! Where have you been hiding? Hope all is well with the family. On the topic: I am simply amazed this is happening. The Packers management has really screwed the pooch here. They should have dealt with this at an earlier time. I am not defending Favre. I think he is as much to blame as the team. All I can say is WOW!!!!!! Peace

Chris Williams
Columbo did return. He blocked the FG against the Titans I believe. He also got demolished at LT by KGB during his last game as a Bear. Peace
-
Chris Williams
I think we are getting dangerously close to him not making an impact this yr. This could be a disaster. http://www.chicagobears.com/news/NewsStory.asp?story_id=4946 Peace

Here are some of highlights. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gGFY5cafLTg I will never forget when he had the 2 ints in OT back in 2001. Great, great moment as a Bears fan. Peace

I figure we will want to talk. Who has the link to the old site and can we still use it? Peace

Kevin Jones
I think he is going to end up on the PUP list and miss the 1st six weeks. Peace

Anyone at Soldier Field?
Pix - you are right that people have a right to boo whenever they want. However, I also have a right to tell them I think they drill rods and piss poor fans. I have no issues with anyone booing Rex for a bad play. However, anyone who boos Rex coming out of a tunnel is a friggin turd in my humble opinion. This kid has done nothing but work his arse off to try and get better. He doesn't shy away from the media. He could have taken the easy road and left at the end of last season (this is what I would have done). You may not like his performance on the field but the kid is a class act in my opinion. Peace

Panthers send Smith home after fight with Lucas
Smith forgot that the 1st rule of fight club is you do not talk about fight club. Peace

Anyone at Soldier Field?
I would agree. Griese cost us the games against the Lions. He was supposed to be a game mgr but he had way, way too many turnovers for that role. Peace
