Yes, there is still a chance. It is basically win out or nothing. The Bears have to leapfrog 5 of these 6 teams: SEA, MIN, GB, LAR, NO, TB. Based on projections, all of them could finish 8-9. So if the Bears finished 8-9, they would have to win a bunch of tiebreakers with 5 of those teams which is extremely unlikely. So chances of making the playoffs going 4-1 and finishing 8-9 are probably around 10% (if that one loss is to CLE). Now if the win out and finish 9-8, there is probably a 75% chance they make the playoffs. ATL is currently a division leader and plays TB, CHI, and NO from the in the hunt teams. If Bears win out, they are beating ATL which would g…

So looking at the current roster and contracts, the Bears have a very solid core, and look to add 5-6 more high end pieces to it this offseason. If they trade a top pick, it will be even more. Right now I am going to assume they pick up 5 impact players: Impact draft picks: 3 (2x 1st rounders, 3rd rounder) Expected bigger FA acquisitions: 2 So if the Bears run it back with Fields on his 4th year, here is where I think they need to upgrade or fill in the core of the team (top 35). The bottom 20 of the roster are very fluid, and would be filled with 4th Round to UDFA and 1-year vet deals. On offense, Center, WR2/3, and TE2 are the most glaring …

  4. A 9-3 team is playing at a 4-8 team and is only favored by 3? A 5-win disparity and only a 3 point line is pretty interesting. Vegas really thinks this game is going to be close. The Bears couldn't win with a +3 turnover margin and double the TOP, so if they want to win this game they more than likely are going to have to do it without that large of a turnover margin and TOP. DET ended up with more total yards, 8-11 on 3rd Downs, a 5.7 yards per play, so they were way more efficient. Montgomery can't average 6.3 yards a carry and they need to shutdown St. Brown. He always seems to burn the Bears. LaPorta was huge this week but only had 3-18 against the Bears. …

So while looking up some Jordan Love stats, I realized something about the GB defense and how their performance has correlated more to their wins and losses than anything Jordan Love does. Love has improved as the season has gone on and is now 14th in QBR, slightly higher than Minshew, Geno Smith, and Dobbs. That seems to be about right for him. Now looking at their defense, is has allowed 27 or more points in only one game this season (34 in a loss to DET). I was shocked to see that. Did anyone else know that their defense has been THAT good? The Bears defense have done that 6 times (all losses). The Packers are 0-4 when their defense allows 23 or more (Bears are …

Just curious what the locals think about the stadium relocating. I read they are looking at the south lot as a possibility, just curious where people would park then, looking at the current satellite images of the area. Also what are your thoughts of it moving to Arlington?

I like everybody on here but have issues with one. Everybody sees that , I dont really care what he thinks. I dont want to piss everyone else off so after fantasy season , if you guys want me to leave , I'm okay with that. Im not asking anyone to pick a side but if it bothers everybody, I'm not sure there is another way. I have tried to be civil in this matter but if someone thinks every comment is secreting referring to him, i can't do anything about that. . Just let me know. If you want this conflict to end, i will hold no animosity towards anyone. Someone needs to step up. So far Mongo and Killz have voiced their opinions, I get it, its not personal in any w…

  8. The Bears head to Cleveland to face Joe Flacco. The line is only +3, so Vegas considers this an even game. People are talking about the Browns defense, but I'm confused. They just allowed 27, 36, and 29 in the last 3 games. Before this last game where they scored 31, they hadn't broken 20 in the 3 previous games. So their offense doesn't look that good. In their last game, Lawrence threw 3 INTs and the Jags had 4 turnovers but Cleveland has 3 of their own. So it was a sloppy game. If the same Bears team shows up, I am going Bears 23-13 in a low scoring affair where the Bears score late to put it out of reach. On offense, they need to double Garr…

  13. Cards are 2-3 in their last 5, Murray is back, McBride (TE) is having a huge year, Conner is very solid on the ground. Bears are favored by 4.5, which says Vegas likes them this week. I am going Bears 24-17 which hurts the Bears draft position and helps the Cards stay close to the Panthers. The Bears normally beat bad teams.

I don’t get to watch many games lately. But I got to see Red zone highlights. What struck me was that every single time Fields drops back he is being chased. Every snap someone is busting through relatively cleanly. One play it’s from the left. Next play it’s up the gut. Then the right. Then the channel flips to KC, and Mahomes has time to tie his shoes on every other play. Until the QB gets time CONSISTENTLY, he can never be properly evaluated, and can never truly progress. Keep Fields. Trade the #1. Draft OL.

Of all the position groups, this one has to be one of the most disappointing ones. Outside of Moore's god given talent, has any other player from this group done anything positive this year? Like for me, they have all been net negatives, Claypool, Mooney, Velus, and Scott. St. Brown has barely played this year so I don't even count him and his lack of availability is a negative. There was the Claypool stuff that started from the day he arrived until he left. Zero accountability both on and off the field. Then there is Velus Jones, who never developed into anything near his draft status, he basically drops passes or fumbles returns. Tyler Scott was a later draft…

    1. Montez Sweat has 12.5 sacks with 3 games remaining. The Bears single season franchise leader is Quinn at 18. Sweat can pass him with 2 sacks per game for the final 3. That would give him 18.5, even though not all of them were on the Bears, it is still a single season accomplishment. 2a. Fields needs 77 passing yards to pass Rex Grossman for 14th on the franchise Passing Yards leaderboard, 85 more to pass Vince Evans, and 160 to pass Mike Tomczak (12th), 167 to pass Rudy Bukich, and 208 yards to pass Johnny Lujack for 10th. All those seem achievable this weekend. 2b. Justin Fields has tied Bob Avellini for the 5th most losses in franchise history, with one mor…

The for and against Fields conversation will go on until the draft but several things come into play. 1st we have to have the number 1 pick.. I think its Caleb Williams or Justin Fields. If Poles thinks Williams is the guy, he will take him. If we end up with the second or third pick that is out of the picture. Maye does not carry the clout that Williams does. Truth be told, both have been questioned about being great as we get closer to the draft. The third pick is probably the best player in the draft MHJ, if he is there, he will take him. So now the conversation, is there a QB prospect that has more upside than the upside of Fields? The draft will bring more …

  19. i posted the information in these draft pick comparisons over 15 years ago but they still can help in determining the quality of the NFL draft and where you pick. It is a very intensive time consuming effort I published on this board and on the previous Bears board. The data was compilied up until 2007. So take it for what it's worth (or disregard it if you please).......... ================================================================================ 2012 below are some statistics i compiled for the old board about 8 years ago and i have updated the information to date, 2012. it lists all players drafted in slots 1-20 in the first round and how they compar…

Being and LSU fan I have watched Daniels the last 2 years and he has made huge strides in his abilities. He appears to be ahead of Williams is about every stat. I never watched Williams play, so not looking at stats, why does everyone say he is so much better? Been waiting for some talk show guys to explain the difference but none have ever done it.
