  3. Don't live in Illinois so I don't follow this, but If I remember, a few years back, there was a lot of issues with the Saints when their owner was pushing some legislation that was anti-player? I don't remember how it ended, but there was a lot of bad press at the time.

  4. http://bearswire.usatoday.com/2017/03/02/p...-his-shoulders/ This may or not affect Allen, but this will be a major concern at pick #3 come draft day. I think he drops down some but some team will still make him a top 10 pick, just not the Bears imo.

Getting ready for the Senior Bowl and other scouting bonanzas. Bleacher Report's Matt Miller posted an early sleeper list. Some of these players should be on our watch list. Marcus Davenport OLB... I've already written about him. The Senior Bowl will be big for him because on paper he has 1st Rd talent, maybe even top 15 talent. I'm very curious to see how he does. Desmond Harrison OT... In the highlights you can see the raw athleticism that will get him drafted. What round is hard to determine right now and he has character concerns. For now in this short highlight clip we can see he doesn't treat the competition he faced very well. Most of these pla…

As an FYI, you'll notice some glitches. We had upgraded our servers to a new instance and it is causing some compatibility issues. You will see intermittent outages until we have this resolved (probably a week to 10 days) but ultimately we are going to be upgrading the software here to the latest software so you might see a few day window where the whole site is down.

  7. The Chargers are 2-5, and are in worse shape than the Bears somehow. Keenan Allen DNP on Thursday due to a hamstring injury. McManis is the only Bear listed on report. Derwin James, like Hicks is out. This is a great game to get the running game going as the Chargers are 21st against the run. All of the Chargers losses (5) have been by a TD or less. I have very little faith in this team, but based on what I have seen from the news conferences and media interviews, the team finally seems to be pissed off. Hopefully, they take it out on the Chargers this week. I am predicting a dominant performance with a defensive TD. Bears roll 27-13

  8. The Bears started -3, but the line quickly moved to -2.5. I bet there is a lot of money pouring in on the Bears and the line may even be less by gametime. I am pissed I missed -3. The Bears are road dogs against a team without their star player in McCaffrey. Mike Davis has filled in nicely and they have had a balanced attack with him as the RB. Bridgewater looks solid but they are limited to Anderson, Moore, Samuel, and Davis for all their offense. Davis has 21 receptions and 30 targets in 4 games. If the Bears can slow him down and take away some of those dump-offs, the Panthers will be one dimensional and that will favor our defense. The Panthers are 3-0 when…

What a crazy roller-coaster season and game for that matter, perfect for 2020. It has come down to a 2-game season. The Bears need to win both and hope ARZ loses one of their remaining 3 games (winning right now).

  13. I'm watching Chicago Tribune Live right now and there talking about Chad Johnson and how he's going to be available this offseason. It's been talked about before, but seeing how pathetic our WR corps is right now, do you feel like going after a guy like Ocho Cinco who could potentially raise our team to the next level but also destroy the locker room? I say, go for it.

Bears | Babich to have added responsibility this season Tue, 13 Jan 2009 11:12:37 -0800 Brad Biggs, of the Chicago Sun-Times, reports Chicago Bears defensive coordinator Bob Babich will also serve as the linebackers coach this coming season. Ya because he did such a good job as the DC that they figured he had way to much time on his hands so he can teach the LB's as well.

  16. Benson's "shape" is still being debated so I wanted to post what Hub Arkush said on the SCORE on last Sunday the night. According to Hub, after the 2007 season, the Bears asked Benson to gain 12 pounds in the offseason. However, Benson decided not to reamain with the team and work-out under the watchful eye Rusty Jones, but he spent most of the off-season back in Texas. Hub said the Bears should have changed their weight gaining plan when they knew Cedric was leaving, but didn't. So Cedric returned heavier, but not in a good way. Hub said that if you saw Cedric in the locker room he looked like a regular guy and you'd say, "How the hell does this guy play in…

First wave of FA is over. According to NFL Network 50 (or more) of the top 100 FA have signed with teams. He has three teams interested in him: Dallas, Seattle, and Minn. The Cowboys do not have a lot of cap space and still have a few spots to fill. Here Melton has tons of opportunity for little money. The Vikings have cap space but Melton either got no contract or didn't like what they said. Based on reports it was no contract offer. On top of that the Vikings have Floyd at the 3T spot so Melton is going to be a backup and I can't see the Vikings spending big on Melton now. Little opportunity for likely medium money. Seattle has opportunity an…
