I read a few posts on the internet from PFT, and the Trib about Favre being released by the Jets. And therefore some of these writers are speculating he'll land in Minny next. 1. I do not think he'll un-retire yet again. 2. If he does, I relish the thought! I'd love 2 more chances to send him into permanant retirement! He proved last year he can no longer be effective for a full season. While he may light things up for 8 weeks, he'll falter down the stretch. I'll take Cutler any day over that over-the-hill, over-rated Wrangler peddling bum! PS - If he does un-retire, do we assume so will Madden?

These teams are fairly even going into this game. Mixon vs Monty. Red Rider Revenge Game. To me it comes down to execution. If the Bears players play up to expectations, the Bears win by 10. If they play how they did last week, they lose by at least 7. I am hoping for more Fields, just put the kid in already. I have really soured on Nagy and it feels like he is over his head and needs to give up playcalling. Bears 24-20.

A team with a pretty decent return game/return man might be exceptionally impacted by these proposed kickoff rule changes. I'm not sure how they'd enforce the "Wedge" part, probably something about positioning, but this could seriously change the special teams game. Moving the kickoff up and putting an extra 5 yards on touchbacks would certainly increase the amount of touchbacks and dramatically curtail the number of returns in a game.

why the hell Orton was in the game with 3 minutes to go? To me, that is down right criminal. Rex should have been at QB to hand the ball off 3 times in a row to Peterson. There is no excuse - period. Peace

Prime Time Game, on the road. Hard to see anyway the Bears win this but Indy did give HOU fits all game and kept it close. I hope the defense can continue it's solid play but if they allowed 17 to TEN then that is probably high 20s to HOU. The offense has to play better all around. Stick to the run game, get Kmet involved, and more presnap motion. This was always a loss for me, so I will say HOU 27-20.

I've been thinking about all the recent chatter about if the board could be smarter than a GM (or let's say as smart as). Now there are far too many aspects of a GM's job for us to sit here and say we got it...from FA, to staffing levels, scouting, knowing the inside details of player's behavior, details on injuries, etc. However we can approximate the one area of most interest these days...the draft. I'll admit, I was one that thought Rex got the bad end of the deal when he was told it was an open "fair" competition for the starters role. I thought he should of had a shot last year against a weaker Detroit team to rebound. Since that is in the past, I've gotten behind Kyle Orton. After two games, I still stick behind Kyle even though the bench K.O. is starting to drift. Heres what I've seen in Kyle so far: SHINES: -Kyle has the upmost respect from his teammates. If we can spend a little why not get Jay another FA target like Laurent Robinson from Dallas and still draft Floyd/Hill? Marshall, Robinson,Floyd/Hill Hester, Bennett, Knox those would create a lot of match up problems for the other teams coaches and their secondaries. There is only one coach-GM tandem in Bear history that is more successful than Lovie and JA and that is Ditka and Finks. The problem is when Ditka was hired the "Ole Man" stepped in and stepped on Finks toes basically forcing Ditka down Finks' throat since Ditka as a Dallas assistant wrote a letter to Halas campaigning for the HC job. So here we go, game two of the early season and our team is 2-0 for prime time (not wins, just appearances). The first game at home in front of a friendly crowd with all our new toys.
