Supposedly Ron Rivera & Lovie disagreed often, which is why Rivera was let go. So we bring in Lovie's guy. So the defense sucked last year. Injuries were the excuse. In pre-season we've been close to 100% healthy: 1. In 4 pre-season games has our #1 defense seen a 4 & out? Have we had a turn-over? 2. Every team that we have played in the pre-season has used misdirection plays. All four games we've over-pursued in the wrong direction & gotten burned. Whatever happened to "staying in our gaps." I don't know if football players believe in the term "slump" buster but here's a random story that I stumbled onto about Lisa Lampenneli apparently hooking up with a Bear player (they claim it to possibly be McBride). Here we go, the loser is pretty much eliminated from playoff contention. After 2 straight losses, we now are projected to win 7 games and only have an 18% chance to make playoffs. A third straight loss in the conference would pretty much eliminate us. This is a must win.

Hell, they ranked Mike Singletary #14 and he has not been HC for a full season. Sean Payton is #6? He is 26-24 in 3 seasons with 1 playoff win? Several HCs ranked above him have 1 year of experience. I am not sure where I would rank him (Lovie) but based on his record over the years I agree with the writer on the Tribune that he should be somewhere in the top 10.

I have heard many mention that there sources state, Marshall wont be brought back next year, that they will have to eat 5.5 million and have no problem with doing that. I think he is a good football player but is too erratic personally that just keeps everything in chaos on a bad team.

I find it interesting that there are those of us who are thrilled with the draft no matter what we do, and those who hate it no matter what we do. Our o-line, WR's, D-line, D-backfield, and running-back situtation are all significantly better. It's perplexing why we made a statement in not drafting a QB, but I'm sure we had our reasons. Instead of starting a new thread on roster moves we might as well just list them here. Today we signed DB Tre Flowers and DL Tanoh Kpassagnon. Tanoh was a reliable backup for KC for 8 yrs. We added WR Jahdae Walker and Ian Wheeler (RB) fron the non performance list We waivered DB Alex Cook and DL Jereme Robinson. Also Poles talked to today (did not hear the speech) but said Braxton Jones was ready to go. Can anyone verify that?

Option 3 for keepers. Keep anyone player and lose draft pick of round that player was drafted in by YOU. No trades. Round 6 cutoff. If you dont want to keep anyone you get a supplementary pick before anyone with a keeper and if there are more than one without than they get ordered by final standings. Option 4. Looking at some of the talk about Mendenhall entering the draft, I got to wondering. What sort of RB do we want to add to the team to compete w/ Benson. Now, I know some of you want to simply write Benson out of the picture, but I do not believe that is the teams plans. So assume for this argument we are simply looking to add competition for Benson.
