Are you a diehard Chicago Bears fan? If so, you've found the spot to discuss all things Chicago Bears. Discuss the Monster of the Midway right here as the Bears look to get back on track in 2024 and take the North and never give it back! Flaming is not allowed and all such posts will be deleted. 1. OK. The Fields thread is killing me. This thread is for the rookie QBs. If your argument is that we should keep Fields, that's cool, but this thread isn't for that scenario. The rules of this game are that you have to take a QB with pick #1, OR you can trade down to #2 and take any QB except for Williams OR you can trade down to #3 and take any QB except for Williams or Maye OR you can trade the #1 pick away for a fortune, but then you have to take a QB with pick #9 and it can't be Williams, Maye, Daniels or Penix This is also a good thread to just talk about whatever you do or don't like about any of the rookie QBs, even if you don't choose to make a pi…

  3. The Bears open up as 1.5 favorites on the road against the Flacco-led Bengals. The Bengals just lost 39-38 to the lowly Jets, which followed allowing 31, 27, 37, 28, 48, and 27 since Week 2. So no team has scored less than 27 against the Bengals since the Browns in Week 1. So this has to be the breakout game for Williams. Anything less than 27 pts on offense and a solid passing game overall, will be a failure. I am losing faith in the defense that allowed 30 to Huntley, but think the defense rebounds enough for a Bears win 31-20.

  4. The crowd has been chanting "Green Bay Sucks" since there were about 12:00 left in the 4th quarter. Let's go ahead and get this up.

Who ya got??? It's gonna be a lot tougher than we think, Jets D has been pretty good and our WRs are still a little banged up. I'm predicting a close one and "Mr. 4th quarter" shows why he's been one of the most clutch QBs in history and leads the Bears to a 4th quarter 28-23 victory.

Just thought I was start a running thread for the draft to put all our thoughts in one place leading up to the draft as we now have about 30 overlapping threads on essentially the same topic.

  7. Detroit coming back home after a last second win against the Chargers. Detroit has beat up on losing teams, and the Bears are a losing team. Outside of Fields coming back and playing lights out and the defense playing as good as they did against the Panthers, this one looks like it will be an ugly loss. 34-16.

Didn't know where to put this. I heard Jarrett, Dexter, Sweat, and Booker are working out together in Florida with a pass rush specialist.( Didn't see his name mentioned.) Clearly Jarrett had to have a lead role in putting this together. I thought this shows a leadership position getting players together. I also heard Olin Kreutz saying he was working with Kiran A at his gym. These are the type of commitments that is going make this team jell.

  9. The Bears come in as 2.5 dogs to MIN in MIN. It seems that some teams have figured out the MIN defense. They have allowed 27, 24, 37, and 28 in the last 4 games, and are 1-3 in those 4. MIN has scored 19, 27, 10, 22, 21, and 21 in the last 6 games. McCarthy does not look NFL-ready, he threw 2 INTs and now has 6 on the season in 4 games. Unfortunately, I feel like this is going to be another nail biter, I am thinking Bears 27-24.

With the Bears having the ability to essentially outbid everyone, who would be the top players you would like to see added in the offseason. For me, it would be Da'Ron Payne, DT, Orlando Brown Jr., OT, Jamel Dean, CB, with Mike Gesicki, TE as an Honorable Mention. That would add basically 4 top level players to the roster before Poles fills the rest in with some mid-level deals and vet mins before the draft. I figure other guys like Pocic (Center), an Edge and LB will also be in play. I could also see them signing two new DTs. However, I will go with these 4 today. Payne seems like the most obvious choice, I hope they get him. Brown is a huge need, and…

  11. The Bears head to Cleveland to face Joe Flacco. The line is only +3, so Vegas considers this an even game. People are talking about the Browns defense, but I'm confused. They just allowed 27, 36, and 29 in the last 3 games. Before this last game where they scored 31, they hadn't broken 20 in the 3 previous games. So their offense doesn't look that good. In their last game, Lawrence threw 3 INTs and the Jags had 4 turnovers but Cleveland has 3 of their own. So it was a sloppy game. If the same Bears team shows up, I am going Bears 23-13 in a low scoring affair where the Bears score late to put it out of reach. On offense, they need to double Garr…

I know Vrabel is still in the discussion, but it seems like these 3 guys would be the leading candidates as Offensive Options at HC: 1. Ben Johnson - DET is 3rd in EPA/Play, 1st in TDs, 2nd in YPG, best OLine in NFL, Goff 4th in TD Passes, 2nd in Passing Yards 2. Joe Brady - BUF is 2nd in EPA/Play, 2nd in TDs, 8th in YPG, Allen is an alien 3. Liam Coen - TB is 6th in EPA/Play, 5th in TDs, 3rd in YPG, Mayfield 3rd in TD Passes, 4th in Passing Yards It is really hard to strip away some of the artificial things that would not carry over to the Bears, if one of these guys came over. Obviously the first thing that stands out is the DET's OLine, Ben Johnson would …

  16. PART DEUX in our house. Biggest game since 2018. Looks like Parsons may have torn is ACL, tough break for GB, but that significantly changes this game. DEN just put up 34 on GBs defense and the Bears scored 21 (would've been 24) last week with Parsons in all game. So the Bears should be projected to score 27 or 28. They may have lost Watson too, but that is too soon to know. He has 5 TDs in the last 5 games and had scored 2 against the Bears. That would be another huge loss.

Instead of starting a new thread on roster moves we might as well just list them here. Today we signed DB Tre Flowers and DL Tanoh Kpassagnon. Tanoh was a reliable backup for KC for 8 yrs. We added WR Jahdae Walker and Ian Wheeler (RB) fron the non performance list We waivered DB Alex Cook and DL Jereme Robinson. Also Poles talked to today (did not hear the speech) but said Braxton Jones was ready to go. Can anyone verify that?

This is going to be the hot topic all off-season and maybe into the season. Bears are starting it off correctly by keeping Darnell Wright at RT. That leaves us with a 3 way battle at LT. https://bearswire.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/bears/2025/05/01/bears-ozzy-trapilo-will-play-left-tackle/83388491007/

  19. I never would've thought that the Bears had a chance to be in a tie for the NFC with a win in this game, but here we are. I don't think they will win, probably a 7-10 pt loss, but I don't think they will get blown out. My first thought is something like 27-20 or 27-17, but if they get some players back from injury, the defense may look a lot different, and it will need to be against Barkley and PHI's offense. PHI has lost to NYG, and one score wins against MIN, GB, and DET in the last 6 weeks, so anything is possible. It will probably come down to turnovers and penalties. Since it is in PHI, they will have the edge with the officials for sure.

Well here it is boys, the playoff run starts here. Sure Cutler is 1-7 vs the Pack BUT like Da Coach would say "Those who live in the past are cowards and losers". Last year the Pack got to Jay an alarming 11 times in 2 games....With no Clay Matthews around this time I believe things will be different. How will Rodgers react to contact? Will the Bears get contact on Rodgers? If ever there was a time to dial up some blitzes now would be the time. Can't let Aaron get comfortable back there. My prediction is Jay WILL outplay Rodgers, and the Bears WILL beat the Packers! 31-21 Daaaaaaaa Bears
