Apparently the Bears scheduled a meeting with Ashton Jeanty right out of the gate. Some may read this to mean that we are very interested in drafting him, and we probably are. Doesn't mean we would pick him over other players we'd also be interested in drafting at that spot. But I also take it to mean that it increases the idea of someone trading up to get him if he is on the board when our pick comes, seeing that we have interest.

GMs, I have renewed our annual TalkBears Fantasy Football Keeper league, which is now entering its 16th season. We need at least one new GM for this upcoming season. There may be more openings if we don't get commitments in time for the draft. Once we get the confirmations, we can schedule the draft for late August and I can send out the LeagueSafe payment dues ($75 per team). The winning payouts are as follows: 1st - $440 2nd - $200 3rd - $75 4th - $35 The payment deadline is usually Week 4, so people have some time to pay the dues. Per Vaughn McClure's twitter, VJax and Avril were our top 2 targets, but Avril is tagged. I don't put a ton of stock in this, as I really don't think Emery is leaking things yet. There was another suggestion from one of McClure's earlier tweets than the info might have come from a player, which would make it seem like it's just speculation. But hey, it's a juicy rumor!

Evidently they already have some offers but are working hard to maximize and get more in return. I've said it before and I'll say again, he'll be gone and we'll get more than we expected for him. There is zero QB market out there and it is a weaker QB draft (that said, Its all a freaking crapshoot anyway when it comes to QB's, imo).

I don't think I have ever been this unexcited about Bears playoff football. This is a 5-win team that fell out of a dumpster fire to make the playoffs. I would be shocked if the Bears look any different than they did against the Packers. Saints 31-13

I went to look at the odds ( draftkings) on who ends up with Justin . I was surprised to see it was the Bears. +100 Atlanta was at +140 in second. Personally I think Poles keeps Fields and takes the draft haul. ( not trying to argue that point) but I thought odds would be great going somewhere else , it's not. I'll keep track of the odds, I was going to put my money where my mouth is and bet 100 on him staying.

3-2 in 2025, should be 3-1 this year, that Week 1 loss to McCarthy still stings. Still feels great to get a win and go into the bye at 2-2.

I'm hearing that Williams' house was raided after the week 1 game, and that today authorities raided Halas Hall as well in connection to Williams. I'm also hearing that Eberflus cried when he heard what the charges were. Only a few things fit. All are ugly. This isn't good at all. In a football sense it probably won't hurt us much. Its almost that time of year again so I figured I would start gauging interest for fantasy football. We have our Talkbears keeper league with I believe 9 returning and 1 spot available.
