Emery is not f-ing around! I think that bodes well. Mr. Smith, thank you for your years of service. You did all you can. But we need more. Time to restore the roar!

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2013/...him-in-round-1/ Don't know what to make of this. PFT is known for sensationalizing everything. Earlier today they had an article dedicated to saying the Bears took Long with Suh in mind. Well duh. They took him with lots of D Linemen in mind, you dolts. I assume Carimi makes the lineup assuming he's healthy. And that's not certain.

Here we go, I am so pumped for this game. The last 4 games have been so demoralizing watching Glennon. I know there will be some ups and downs, but I am excited to see the kid play. I just hope they don't do what they did in the last preseason game and run 10+ straight plays with Trubisky handing off to start the game. Instead, we need a bootleg or some movement where he only has to read half the field. The threat of him running and his mobility are going to give the receivers more room for intermediate routes. Those were taken away with Glennon behind center. GO BEARS! Bears 27 - Viqueens 17 The Trubisky Era starts with a win!

Let's try this before drafting...

It's here! 5 days from kickoff. Who's pumped up? This is the most excited I have been for a season to start in a long time. This team has one of the best rosters and coaching staffs in the NFL. We have guys fully healthy (Robinson, Miller, Long, Floyd, Shaheen), with up and coming stars (Smith, RRH, Nichols) and fresh blood (Montgomery) to go with a stacked roster of Pro Bowlers. I can't see the Bears losing this one. GB and Rodgers in a new system while the Bears are in Year#2 with Nagy and Co. Montgomery is going to shine. Bears have too many weapons on offense and beasts on defense. The Bears are only favored by 3, which means Vegas sees these as even teams.…

15 minutes from the start of the 2nd round...will be interesting to see what happens. Lots of talent sitting out there.

Trestmen talked today and said he has spoken with hester but only in a "get to know" type talk. He also said he spoke with Url for 30-40 mins and Url mentioned that he wants to return. Him and tucker also confirmed that we will stick with 4-3 base defens. Good move IMO

This one could be another stinker. NE is actually the top defense the Bears will have faced yet. Then next week, the Bears get a better defense to play against in DAL. So Fields may be out or injured by Week 9 unless they fix this O-Line and protection. The Bears are known for making unknown QBs look good, so I expect a 300-yd, 2 TD game from Bailey Zappe while Fields stays on average for 190 yds passing on 15-24 passing, 1 TD, 1 INT, 5 sacks, 1 fumble, 55 rushing yards. The Patriots have a QB controversy. So far, Zappe has looked better than Jones, 4-1 TD-INT to 2-5 TD-INT for Jones. The big thing for Zappe is he is prone to fumbles with 3 already in onl…

So much for no OC will want to work under a HC who might be on a hot seat. The Bears have 4 good names to interview. They all run a scheme similiar to what the Bears ran under Getsy. This tells me they do not want the team to go through another learning curve and it also helps JF case on being QB1 next year. What was feeling like 60 stay/40 out is not hovering 75 stay/25 out. The Bears also have an edge with having a HC in place while other teams have to get that done first. Shane Waldron-Sea OC, worked under Belechik. G Geno Smith put together 8000 yds 50 tds in 2 years under him. Clint Kubiak-passing coor, Dad is the godfather of Shannahans of…

Some great pics, his fingers look healthy, lol: http://socialitelife.com/jay-cutler-gives-...-photos-05-2012

If there's going to be a "who are you" thread for the people from BearsTalk to ID themselves, then as one of the mods here, I'd like to add this thread as a place for everyone to say hello. Welcome to this way of organizing the words "Bears" and "Talk"! I'm one of the guys who came over from Soxtalk when this board was created, and it'll certainly be nice to have some new minds around here to pick!

The Bears currently have eight picks in the 2008 draft, one in each of the seven rounds plus an additional third-round selection they obtained in a draft-day trade with the San Diego Chargers last year. The Bears dealt their fifth-round pick to the Buffalo Bills in exchange for defensive tackle Darwin Walker, but regained a fifth-round pick from the Carolina Panthers in a deal for safety Chris Harris. The Bears also could be awarded a compensatory pick or two after losing free agents such as Alfonso Boone, Todd Johnson, Ian Scott and Cameron Worrell. -from Bears Chalk Talk on chicagobears.com So as it stands now, here's how I see our draft goin'... 1. Kenny Ph…

...or thats what PFT is reporting. I have a question; just what is he to draw for the last four on his contract? Wasn't he signed for some monster money? Anyone???

http://www.profootballtalk.com/category/rumor-mill/ BEARS DEFENSE WASN’T FOND OF CEDRIC BENSON Posted by Josh Alper on June 11, 2008, 10:40 a.m. Cedric Benson may be convinced that the police in Texas have him in their crosshairs but his problems with uniformed groups didn’t end when he crossed the state line. According to Jay Glazer, Benson was not well-liked by his teammates on the Bears either. He went on Dan Patrick’s radio program yesterday, via MJD at Yahoo! Sports, and recounted a tale from the 2006 training camp. Thomas Jones and Lovie Smith were feuding and some Bears vets felt that Benson was getting handed the starting job prematurely, an idea…

Keith Randolph Jr., DT, Illinois Austin Reed, QB, Western Kentucky

if i'm chicago and the state of illinois and they do this.... i say F'EM do what the cleveland browns did. go where you want to scumbag vampires but you ain't taking the names with you. if illinois can't take the name 'BEARS' away from them then surely take the 'CHICAGO'. give them NOTHING!! so welcome TRIPLE H to the nfl. Halas's Hammond Hemroids eat SHIT you bloodsucking greedy bastard mccaskey family. you have given NOTHING to this franchise or CHICAGO since mugs halas died.

Bagent or Keenum against Fangio doesn't sound fun. If the Bears can't get the run game going, it will be another long day. Barkley is questionable after a stinger, Goedert is out, so if Barkley can't go, the main threat is Devonta Smith. PHI is a hard team to gauge right now. They are 2-0 but beat WAS and TEN, who are both 0-2. They only beat WAS by 2, and TEN by 4. I feel like this was a win with Williams, but probably a loss with Bagent or Keenum. I assume the Bears keep it close and it is a low scoring game.
