There is no way Fox and any of the coordinators are at minimum back next season. Hopefully, some get pink slips today... However, the bigger question now is does Pace get to choose the next or should he be bounced too? He's certainly made some hits and certainly some misses. I've personally come to the conclusion that I don't care either way. If he stays, he's shown enough to get one last chance to get it right. If he goes, so be it. He's made enough mistakes to warrant it. That said, if Pace goes, I want Sweatty Teddy put back on the calculator and hire a real president of football operations. I want a full clean. Hire the right man to hire the ri…

Heres some guys Ive heard people discussing cutting, whether is feasible or not: Moose Walker Bradley Archuleta Miller Then Tommie is a F/A after next season obviously... Who do we keep and who do we let go? Who on the current roster would you like to see stay a Bear?

  4. Hester didn't show up to TC today. (neither did Tillman, Kreutz, Dvoracek, and another player, but that's for another thread at another time). Thoughts??

It is funny how the internet takes you down rabbit holes. First I see this article about 3 Bears players playing for the same H.S. : http://www.chicagobears.com/news/article-1...03-85c5d4e82962 then I start reading up on Onobun, who at the time of his signing, didn't seem to draw much attention (rightfully so). However, looking at his Pro Day: this guy seems to have all the physical attributes to succeed, but only played football one year in college (and still was drafted in the 6th round), so he is still raw. With his ties to Bennett, could this guy develop into our #2 pass catching TE eventually?

Didn’t see anyone else mention this but I apologize if I’m repeating some of the other big NFL news. I naturally thought the title of this would at least involve the word ‘movement’ as when I think of one, I instantly think of Rodgers. Even though he’s not really moving he’s sticking around for a few more years with his new 4 year $200 million deal. And GB applied the franchise tag to Adams right about the same time. So those two will be around to witness 1st hand how Fields will eventually supplant him as the best QB in the NFC North and “own” GB for years to come. In other, more notable news, Russell Wilson was traded to Denver for a couple 1st’s, three (?…

  9. If the Bears allowed 38 to Love/GB and 27 to Mayfield/TB, this has a 50 burger all over it. KC also held JAX to 9 points. KC 52-3 Fields by the numbers: 177 - Yards passing 23 - Yards rushing 12 - Screen passes 10 - Screen passes with terrible perimeter blocking 9 - Plays where Fields holds onto the ball too long on passes, missing open receivers who are clapping for the ball 8 - Sacks taken by Fields when he could either throw it away or evade the sack 3 - INT 2 - fumbles lost 1 - Pick-6 This will not be pretty, KC is a legit Super Bowl contender, and neither TB or GB are even playoff teams. I am not watching this one as w…

Daniels was the best QB in college last year. He played in a pro style offense and is a great running option . I'm not sure who has the most upside on the QBs but he is the most ready to start in the NFL. Caleb is always popping out of the pocket and playing hero ball. Holds the ball to long. Didn't play as well against better opponents. Daniels was in the SEC. I'm going to keep looking at tape to,see who stands out more than the other.

  11. Reports are that starters will play, which is nice to see. Bagent and Co started with back to back 3 and outs against Miami, so I hope Caleb can lead a scoring drive and show real progress on Sunday night.

If this trend continues I can not see a QB taken in the first round for a long time. His play is everything so far we hoped for. And Tturner calling the plays the way he has is what I remember from his last stint with the Bears. Maybe.

http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/break...0,4746067.story Isn't that exactly what I was trying to say all off season? Things then escalated after all the childish remarks came in. I shared the same thoughts our GM did and got shit for it, that is what was incredibly frustrating to me. My opinion wasn't wrong. My opinion wasn't that he'll be an all pro lineman. My opinion was exactly what Emery said, “Coming into this fall, we were very optimistic that he was going to be our starting right tackle and would continue to improve as a player”. I was called a "broken record" numerous times, well of course, no football was played for my opinion to change. How can I …

Last year I tried a mock where everyone agreed. Likes/Dislikes were laid out until we got something everyone could accept. It may not have been everyone's ideal draft, but it was something we'd all be happy with. I'd like to try that again. The Rules: -Please don't post your own mock. I've gone through a bunch of mocks on this board already, ones posted by multiple members, and looked at what was said. Major themes. Adamant comments. So this has comments, likes, dislikes, and other info from other posts. -I'll post the mock based on the aforementioned comments. -Comment on what you like or dislike from the mock, and I'll update your restrictions as wel…

Anyone got any feedback on our next opponent? I scanned their depth chart and it appears Jacquizz Rodgers is their starting RB splitting time with Charles Sims. Quite a bit less of threat than Atlanta ran at us. They do have a good QB and WRs in Evans and Desean Jackson on the outside plus OJ Howard at TE. I think Fangio needs to flip the script from last week where the focus was on shutting down the run and we should get after the QB. Maybe we'll see more of Bullard and RRH this week? Their defense has some good players but other than Gerald McCoy I don't see any big pass rush threats. That's a consistent complaint among their fans on the message boards too.…

  18. This is a must win, beat the teams you are supposed to beat. Bradford is brutal and probably won't last a quarter. Johnson does not look the same since coming back from injury and Fitzgerald is the only receiving threat. I want to see a full game this time, with significant progress for the offense and Trubisky. After seeing Mayfield come in and play like he did, there are no more excuses for Trubisky, especially against this defense. I would like to see another step from Roquan and see the team close another game out. Bears 27-10

Figured I'd make a thread where we could track who the candidates are that they have formerly requested permission, etc. I will update this shortly (but wanted to put it somewhere): Kwesi Adofo-Mensah - Browns VP of football operations Glenn Cook - Browns VP of player personnel Morocco Brown - Colts Rick Smith - Former Texans GM (retired due to personal reasons - in early 50's and coming back after his wife passed away from cancer) Jeff Ireland - New Orleans Asst GM & College Scouting Director; Former GM for Dolphins - infamously known for his pre-draft interview w/ Dez Bryant. Ed Dodds - Colts VP of Player Personnel
