Do you think the Bears deserve to be 12th? http://espn.go.com/nfl/powerrankings/_/yea...id=sportscenter It's almost like nobody outside of Chicago realizes half the defense was hurt last year, all the DTs were down, and that started the domino affect. There is no way the defense is not much, much better with the return of Ratliff, Paea, and DJ, the signing of Allen, Young, and Houston, and the drafting of Ferguson and Sutton.

It's starts now. They brought in Riley Rieff on a contract. Signed Schofield, , Quinn reported, signed Brisker. It seems to be coming together. Got Harry a while back. For all the things Poles was criticized for , he's addressing it right now when it matters.

0 TD's in 2 games. Time for Rex again. This just shows you why Orton has absolutely no business being a #1 QB.

It will be interesting to see what Dan Campbell actually does. Will he rest any key starters in what is a meaningless game for DET, who have lost 3 straight, and 4 out of 5? With a chance at the playoffs still on the line, they lost to MIN 23-10 and looked like they didn't care. My hope is DET doesn't risk Week 18 injuries for their core players and the Bears can handily win and put the game out of reach by halftime, then rest their own starters with the game in hand. Bears 30-10. Bears get locked into the #2 Seed with a home playoff game against GB the following weekend. GB would be in MIN having to travel back home, then to CHI for WC Weekend.

Well our O-line will be different this year for sure, but now different and who plays where is the $100,000 dollar question. The bold IMHO will be the starters with a coin flip at RT between Webb and Scott now that Carimi has been traded Boggs, Garza,Williams, Lonergan, at center Slauson, Long, Dennis, Mills, Britton at guard Brandon, Brown,Bushrod, Mills, Scott, Webb, at tackle

Throughout last night's game there were several references to Rich Gannon and Josh McCown. Most of which equated to the term Jon Gruden made that "McCown has travelled a hard road to get where he is, much like Rich Gannon". Of course Gruden would have some insight since Gannon was his QB during much his tenure in Oakland before going to TB. As was quoted in news sources: "Gannon thrived in Gruden's West Coast offense" (Wikipedia). Coincidently, Marc Trestman was the OC for Oakland during their Super Bowl run of 2004 and a year removed from Gannon's NFL MVP win. The thought now is, could McCown be the newest version of Gannon? I think that a legitimate questio…

Here we go. I don't think I would ever imagine that I would be talking about the 9-3 1st Place Chicago Bears playing the 8-3-1 Green Bay Packers in Week 14, but here we are. This is going to be another weather game with game time temps in the teens, chance of snow and some light wind. Until this team loses, it is hard to bet against them right now. I am going to say 24-20 Bears in another one-score game.

Read this: Apparently, he faked the death of a girl that didn't exist to garner more attention to his Heisman candidacy. It was all a hoax. http://deadspin.com/5976517/manti-teos-dea...dium=socialflow

I feel like comparing anyone to Mahomes is not fair, especially Fields. I don't think he will ever get to that level. However, I still think he can be a top 10 QB with top 5 upside with a higher floor than most other QBs due to his escapability. I don't think he is going to be a perennial 300yd passer, which will keep the national media narrative going. I don't know what the obsession is with Fields. He was the 4th QB drafted and not even in the top 10. The spotlight should be on Lawrence, Wilson, and Lance. Case 1 - Lamar Jackson has started (and had 10 attempts) in 49 games in his career. In 24 of those games (basically half), he failed to throw for 200 pass…

Here we go. Well-traveled, warm-weather Rams playing at Soldier Field. This is going to be a shootout. Bears start as 3.5 underdogs, which seems about right.

Looks like the Bears will come in at 6.5 underdogs to the 1-5 Ravens. The LBs and Gordon are going to have to spy Jackson and stop Henry. This will be a tough one, but Baltimore's defense has been bad and that won't change much out of their bye. If the refs call this game fair (unlikely), I could see the Bears winning this in a close game. However, the refs have shown they don't call games fairly, so I am thinking this will be close loss, both teams in the mid-20s.

Here is my best 53-man guesstimate as of 8/5. Getting DL down to 9 is going to be tough. Blue/Bold is the Special Teamers. The Bears lost key ST contributors in DHC, J. Thomas, S. Weatherford, M. Adams, R. Griffin, and look like they will be losing Ebner's, and maybe even Jaylon Jones' ST snap share. 2 QB Fields, Justin 21/1 Walker, PJ U/CAR - This seems like a lock, a 3rd QB would be a waste. 4 RB Herbert, Khalil 21/6 Foreman, D'Onta U/CAR Johnson, Roschon 23/4 (ST) - replaces Ebner Homer, Travis U/SEA (ST) - replaces Griffin - I don't see more than 4, Ebner odd man out here. 1 FB - Blasingame, Khari U/TEN (ST) 3 TE …
