I've been checking out some mock drafts. I saw a couple where they had us taking OT from Boston College. At beginning of the season, I would of been all for it. The Bears really need interior help now. Olin has been a great Bear, but he costs us too many 1st downs with stupid penalties. I wouldn't draft an interior lineman in 1st round either. Give Webb a full off season and he will not be weak link on the passing downs. Frank may not be the sexy name the fans want, but he has done a he'll of a job. Don't see the need to draft an OT that high. If anything, we need not notch cb to replace Peanut in a couple yrs.

One bye week and it seems like forever since I've made a game thread. And yet somehow, I'm sure Tillman still had a pick-6 in there.

After the TNF clown show, the Bears are currently picking 6th. Due to the SoS, pretty much any 2-3 team will hop in front of the Bears with a loss this weekend (10 teams), and no 1-4 team that wins will drop past the Bears. With 3 games that have 2-3 teams playing against each other, this week's current draft pick slot range will be 9th-13th with the potential to have as many as 9 teams tied at 2-4. Interestingly enough, the 14 teams with a winning record are the 14 current playoff teams, and the best non-WC team is IND at 2-2-1. With wins the last two weeks, we are now in 13th for the 2015 draft. Interestingly, we have the 9th hardest schedule this season and only 3 teams in the top 10 of the SoS have a winning record. 1. Just thought I'd open a thread for tonight's game. I hope Cutler plays a quarter with the starters and then Jimmy shows he can handle this offense at least as well as we saw him do last week. Obviously the D Line will be a big thing I'll be watching. If they can build on the success they had last week that'll be very positive. #1 goal: Stay healthy!

Listened to Thayer on the SCORE with Double Z earlier tonight and he said Orton has progressed enough to be given the starting job. He also seem to say 5 yrs is enough time on Rex and the Bears need to move on - Rex has too many questions to answer. Peace

Currently 9 to 10 point underdogs, we played them well in Week 1. Injuries will play a huge part in the outcome. We potentially will have a fresh Forte, Alshon, and Royal. Of all the games you could win in a rebuild year, it's this one. Based on our last 6-7 games, this seems like it is going to be another close one. Weather could also play a factor. Per the Sun-Times Brandon Llyod has signed a one-year deal with the Bears.

I don't think we will but we still need another backup QB. The Cardinals had four QB'S on their roster after cutting Skelton and a few teams have three to five. What if we could sign J.Russell....cut from the Raiders.....hey...he will come cheap, has starting experience, is now back on rack and hungry to play and is a big man to bring down like Big Ben........so what say you?

The 3-3 Redskins come to visit the 4-2 Bears, although the Bears haven't looked good at all their last 3 games. The Redskins are coming off a close loss at the hands of the Colts, where Manning was able to move the ball effectively both in the air and on the ground. Winning this game going into the Bye Week is actually quite important in terms of the playoffs.

I'm calling it now. With the defense and Jay Cutler on this team, no playoff. Maybe 9-7 if they're lucky.
